“Expressions of Muslim Women” (EMW) is a local group of Muslim women dedicated to exhibiting the creative capacities of Muslim women.  For the past three years, with the support of the Muslim community, EMW has presented wonderful annual events that showcased the talents of Muslim women from across the National Capital region of all age groups, and cultural backgrounds.
Insha Allah, this year is the first time that EMW will hold its women’s only event at the new Centrepointe Studio. The location is still at Ben Franklin Place but in a new room that gives a more professional backdrop. So EMW hopes to bring the event to new and yet familiar heights. With the changes in our world over the past year and in other changes such as our venue, this year’s EMW event is entitled “Winds of Change”.  The event will take place on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 7pm.
EMW events set out to inspire women of all faith and cultural backgrounds, by seeing Muslim women express themselves in a positive and constructive way within a comfortable environment. The event contains performances as well as an exhibit of visual art.
All proceeds go to local charities including the Sadaqa Food Bank.
Please bring a non-perishable food item.
